This policy explains in detail how Student Hacks (https://studenthacks.co.uk) (hereinafter "us", "we", "our") use any information collected during any visit by you (hereinafter "your", "visitor", "user")

In addition, we store your IP address. Your IP address is logged for security and operating purposes (e.g. to block spam messages) under Article 6 (1) f) GDPR.
The above information is stored for 30 days before being automatically deleted. If you wish for this information to be deleted before then, please contact us (see below).
Our web server logs certain pieces of information when you visit a web page. This information includes your anonymised IP address, the page you visit and diagnostic information such as your web browser, web browser’s user agent and your operating system.
This not personal identifiable information is stored for up to one month and processed for error correction, troubleshooting and security purposes in our legitimate interest under Article 6 (1) f) GDPR to protect and provide reliable and error-free access to our website.
We log information when you visit any of our websites for our legitimate interest under Article 6 (1) f). This information includes the pages you visit, your browser and operating system information, plug-in information, referrer and anonymised IP addresses.
None of this information identifies you personally.
This information is kept for up to one month on our server. The information is then processed and analysed to produce website statistics. We use these statistics to enhance your browsing experience by creating pages tuned to specific browsers and operating systems. We may also use the information collected to administer and troubleshoot technical problems.
If ad personalization is turned on, our partners will use your information during your visits to this and other Web sites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services likely to be of greater interest to you. These companies typically use a cookie or third party web beacon to collect this information. To learn more about this behavioral advertising practice or to opt-out of this type of advertising, you can visit http://www.networkadvertising.org and http://www.aboutads.info/choices.
Please note that if ad personalization if off, they will not collect or use your information to personalize the ads shown to you. You will still see ads, but they may not be as useful. Ads may still be based on the topic of the website or app you’re looking at, your current search terms, or on your general location, but not on your interests, search history, or browsing history.

What are they used for?
Cookies allow us to permanently store information about your visit to enable a better experience when you return in the future and browse to other pages. For example, a cookie may store the contents of your shopping basket, whether you're logged in or if you've disabled the mobile website.
Generally cookies are used to enable the website to function correctly, by storing where you are in a particular transaction or part of the site, so that the next page you visit can be tailored to your needs.
However they are also used for other purposes like performance analysis, website statistics and advertising targeting.
Here is a breakdown of the common classifications of cookies we use and how we use them.
These cookies are essential to enable the website to function, for you to navigate. Without these you will not be able to use the site, e.g. Session Cookies.
These cookies tailor the website to you by storing certain preferences. For example, a website may store a cookie on your computer or device if you switch between the mobile and desktop versions of our website.
These cookies are used to improve our websites for you, by allowing us to view detailed statistics and analytics, for example which pages are the most read.
These cookies are used to decide which types of adverts to display. We use adverts on the site to allow you to browse it for free, whilst also paying the ever increasing hosting bills.
Where these cookies are used for personalisaiton, we will ask require consent before placing them. You can opt out at any time (see above).
Naturally, disabling certain cookies may cause certain parts of the website to stop functioning.
None the less, find out how to change the cookie settings in your browser below...
Cookies may also be set using Flash.
