Student Finance 2023/24 is pretty complex but this handy calculator will help you quickly work out what you can get.

And what's best is you don't even need to know many details, just plug in your annual household income and details about your course and living arrangements to see how much you can get in loans .

All students are eligible for a tuition loan of up to £9,250, which is paid straight to your University.

As well as that, a Maintenance Loan - the amount of which depends on whether or not you're based in London - is also available to all students. For 2023/24 The maintenance loan varies from £8,400 for those living at home to £13,022 for those living away from home, in London.

However note that as of 2016, Maintenance grants are no longer available for new students. Only those on courses which started before 2016 can apply for continued Maintenance grants.

But there may be extra financial help depending on your circumstances.

This official government Student Finance Calculator will also check if you're eligible for extra grants given out to those who may have children, studying certain courses or have disabilities.
